Investing in health

It used to be that we spent 9% of our income on our health and 18% on food. Today, it’s the opposite. We used to living in a world without gyms and exercise equipment. Simpler times that didn’t require these tools.

Not only do we spend more on health & healthcare after the fact, we invest more in it. More time, more energy. More memberships and equipment.

It’s interesting that those values have transposed one another. Our bodies are resilient and yet instead of getting back to fixing ourselves we now work harder and spend more to allow for these deficiencies.

What we ought to do is simplify things. Treat the root cause up stream and there will be less fixing down the road.
